Utilize Your 4xe's Drive Modes
Both of Jeep's PHEV models, the Wrangler 4xe and the Grand Cherokee 4xe have three eSelec drive modes. You can choose Electric, Hybrid, or eSave so that you can select when you want to use your vehicle's battery power. Electric mode will run solely on battery power for roughly 20 miles, and then switch over to gas power automatically. On the other hand, eSave mode will let you use your gas tank first, saving the battery power for later. This is a great choice if you aren't sure where the nearest charging station is, and a gas station might be more readily available. You can still hang onto your Jeep 4xe's battery charge, and make the most of it later on!
