What is Uconnect 5?
The 2022 Grand Wagoneer features the next generation of infotainment software; Uconnect 5. This advanced system operates at speeds four times faster than the previous generation and offers more memory storage. And that's just the beginning. The Uconnect 5 system also features Amazon Alexa built in with home-to-car functionality. This means you can lock, unlock, and start the Grand Wagoneer using your in-home Alexa device. The system also features wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which seamlessly integrates your smartphone with the Uconnect 5 system so you can access your favorite apps without cluttering the cabin with wires. Uconnect 5 also features TomTom navigation with voice activation and live over-the-air traffic updates. In addition, the five driver profiles offered by Uconnect 5 allow each driver to set preferences for the vehicle to memorize. This includes seat and mirror positions, climate control settings, music preferences, home screen layout, and more. Other Uconnect 5 features include 4G LTE WiFi for up to eight devices, dual Bluetooth connectivity, voice recognition, and much more.
How many touchscreens does the Grand Wagoneer have?
As was previously mentioned, the Grand Wagoneer is available with up to 75 inches of digital display screens. At the bare minimum, the Grand Wagoneer features a 10.25-inch fully customizable digital driver information cluster on the dashboard, a 12-inch infotainment touchscreen, and a 10.25-inch climate control touchscreen. The digital gauge screen offers five tiles that allow drivers to customize the display to show the information that is most important to them. For instance, the system can show turn-by-turn navigation, speed limit, blindspot monitoring, the night vision camera when equipped, and more. The Uconnect 5 user profiles can memorize these settings. The Grand Wagoneer also comes standard with a 12-inch infotainment touchscreen on the center stack, which displays the features mentioned in the previous section, and more. Below that screen is the articulating climate control touchscreen which controls the cabin temperature, seat temperature, seat position, and more. Standard on the Obsidian and Series III models, you'll find a 10.1-inch touchscreen in front of the front passenger, showing co-pilot features like navigation, entertainment, and access to the vehicle's cameras. The available Rear Entertainment Group features two 10.25-inch touchscreens on the front seatbacks displaying Amazon Fire TV with access to hundreds of thousands of movies, apps, and TV shows.
What sound system does the Grand Wagoneer use?
The Grand Wagoneer features two home-theater-quality sound systems, both specially designed for the Grand Wagoneer by McIntosh Labs. The standard MX950 sound system offers 19 speakers, a 10-inch subwoofer, and a 950-watt amplifier providing crystal clear sound for all occupants. Higher trim levels feature MX1375. In addition to a 1375-watt amplifier, MX1375 also offers 23 speakers and a 12-inch subwoofer, completely immersing all passengers in luxurious sound.
