Dodge is making a name for itself in the automotive industry
in more than one way. NHRA shows them placing
in the top ten for the Pro Stock and the Funny Car division has Matt Hagan in
first place and two other top ten finishers to keep him company. The New Dodge Charger is undefeated for 2015
NHRA season. Don Schumacher racing has teamed up with Matt Hagan and the Mopar
Express Lane/ Rocky boots to dominate at many events. They placed second at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park Funny Car National
Hot Rod Association (NHRA).  Last
year Matt won the Funny Car World Championship and he is on a good pace to do
it again this year. Â With 3.975-second
pass and the fifth fastest time ever posted in completion and the second
quickest speed in Funny Car history at 324.83 mph. Hagan is on a winning streak
this year and if you count his race in Pomona it gives him three first places
in a row. He has won twelve races since the 2014 NHRA season. This great performance won him his second
consecutive title win this season.Â
Everyone is reaping the benefits of all the hard work collaborated from
Mopar, Dodge and Don Schumacher Racing. The team is making great strides toward
another Championship by listening, talking to each other and concentrating on
the problems that need to be corrected. Â DSR's Tommy Johnson Jr drives the Make-A-Wish
Dodge Charger R/T to the fifth place keeping Hagan company at the top. Ron
Capps who is in fourth In the Funny Cars started out great this year with
runner up but then suffered a blow with a mechanical issue. He is still in the top five at number four
for the year and there is more to go this season. He is very happy with the new setup on his
car. He won the Funny Car title in 2013 and is excited to try again this year
with the new car that drives so much different than last years did according to
him. Each time they drop the body down
it makes a huge difference in the way it performs. In the Pro Stock division,
Allen Johnson posted a 6.588 time but was defeated when he had a tire shake
slow him down. He is currently in
seventh place with his Dodge Dart. Â The
same tire shake caused issues for the Dodge Dart driven by V. Gains. Hopefully they will be able to correct this
issue and take over the competition soon.
