Jeep Reveals the All-New 2020 Gladiator

The LA Auto Show is the place to look for all the greatest updates of vehicle innovation, power, and technology, and this year it did not disappoint Jeep fans.  The 2018 show debuted the all-new 2020 Gladiator demo as Jeep officially announced it would again be bringing this favorite classic to the modern market. The Gladiator has been asked for by Jeep enthusiasts for years, and for as long as they've asked, the Gladiator has been in careful concept production to give fans everything they hoped for, plus a little more.  This midsize pickup brings best-in-class payload and towing weights, a style that benefits from the Wrangler's recent 2018 remodel, and every bit of that off-roading prowess you know and love from all Jeep vehicles. Reedman-Toll is excited to announce that the Gladiator is coming, and it'll be here sooner than you may think!

Legendarily Rich Heritage

The 2020 Gladiator hasn't been seen for 26 years, but now that it's back it's definitely better than ever while still preserving the exact design notes that make it iconically Jeep.  It builds on the recently redesigned Wrangler's appeal with an additional 31 inches in length to accommodate the five-foot truck bed and a 19.4-inch wider wheelbase to perfectly balance payloads to the rest of the vehicle's weight.  It rides on tires that are up to 33-inches in diameter and 11-inches wide to give you a superior 11.1-inch ground clearance. This height can waterford depths of up to 30 inches deep or climb easily over approach angles of 43.6 degrees, breakover angles of 20.3 degrees, and departure angles of 26 degrees.  And so modeled after the Wrangler, there's of course the full ability to strip the Gladiator to its frame as well for that full Jeep-brand open-air driving experience. It comes with either a soft top or three-piece hardtop design that easily removed via the soft top's dual latch release or the hardtop's easy tool pop off.  The aluminum body elements of the Wrangler carry over into the 2020 Gladiator, as well, so that removing the vehicle's doors aren't any problem. This design aesthetic actually makes this the only open-air pickup truck on the market! Also like the Wrangler, you have the choice of Jeep's Command-Trac or Rock-Trac 4x4 systems within the Gladiators four trims.  The manual part-time 4x4 Command-Trac system comes within the Sport, Sport S, or Overland trims while the full-time Rock-Trac 4x4 system comes exclusively within the all-terrain conquering Rubicon, enhanced with similar Tru-Lok limited-slip front and rear differentials and electronic front swaybar disconnect as the Wrangler Rubicon.

Relax As You Rough It

Carry yourself confidently forward thanks to the ever popular power built within the 3.6-liter V6 Pentastar enhanced with variable valve timing and Engine Stop-Start technology.  This engine's power is matched with its efficiency thanks to these gas-saving systems, letting you cruise for longer while keeping a few more dollars in your pocket. The Pentastar's 285 horsepower is churned through its standard six-speed manual transmission to deliver 260 lb-ft torque to its four tires.  If you'd like a more efficient option with a boost of performance, Jeep is also pairing the Gladiator to the available 3.0-liter EcoDiesel six-cylinder engine. The bigger 442 lb-ft torque output needs to be directed through an automatic eight-speed transmission, available with Pentastar engines, to handle the enhanced power.  These engines not only deliver great efficiency, durability, power, and smooth, exciting acceleration, but also best-in-class 4x4 hauling weights. The 2020 Gladiator can carry a payload of up to 1,600 pounds and tow up to 7,650 pounds, too! This bed-space features LED lighting, a three-position tailgate, and an included tonneau cover.  Inside, you'll find the incorporation of many brand new features to enhance the enjoyment factor of the Gladiator, such as the lockable and removable under-seat storage bin, mobile Bluetooth speaker, and segment-leading rear-seat comfort thanks to enhanced legroom. Ride on water resistant high-quality cloth or leather upholstery, and enjoy tunes from the 5-, 7-, or 8.4-inch fourth-generation touchscreen systems with available navigation, satellite radio, and WiFi hotspot compatibility.

There's so much more to love about the 2020 Gladiator already, we anxiously await new information with bated breath to discover the complete features of each Gladiator trim.  Reedman-Toll is keeping a close eye on Jeep's new announcement page to get up to date news on new details about the 2020 Gladiator. We luckily don't have to wait too long though!  The 2020 Gladiator is expected to appear in showrooms by 2019's second quarter, available to drive out of our lots by summer! We keep our Jeep inventory up to date so you can find out right now what we have on our lot.  We welcome your phone calls or emails concerning when we might be getting the 2020 Jeep Gladiator into our lot!
