What kind of safety features are available?

In 2018 the Ram 1500 has increased its rear window to promote blind-spot visibility and has added a backup camera to make hitching a trailer easy as pie. Depending on the trim, safety and security features may vary. Some of the features that are available include a locking tailgate, child door locks, an engine immobilizer, Bilstein shock absorbers, front and rear parking sensors, automatic high beams, automatic windshield wipers, and LED foglights.

What are the various trim options?

There are eleven trims to choose from on the Ram 1500. The first trim is a workers truck, the Tradesman with a spray-in bed liner, cruise control, a Class IV hitch receiver, and almost entirely black exterior. The Express is also a working truck, but it comes without the hitch and bed liner and adds color to the exterior. The Big Horn enters a more luxurious category with its 110-volt power outlet, 8.4-inch touch screen, dual-zone automatic climate control, and leather-wrapped steering wheel. The Sport has 20-inch wheels, bucket seats, LED interior lighting, projector headlights, and adjustable pedals. The Night model also has everything the Sport has, but with all black everything, 22-inch wheels, and a sport hood. The Harvest model comes with additional ground clearance, skid plates, all-terrain tires, skid plates and tow hooks, and a chrome grille unlike any other. The Laramie has some of the same features as the Big Horn but also offers wood trim, heated and ventilated front seats, auto-dimming mirrors, and a 10-speaker audio system. The Laramie Longhorn mixes the workers truck with the luxury editions and has features like a keyless entry and ignition, front and rear parking sensors, remote start, a navigation system, and upgraded leather upholstery. The Limited is at the very top of Luxury and comes with a monotone paint scheme, automatic windshield wipers, side-step bars, a self-leveling air suspension, fancy stitched leather upholstery, and automatic high beams. The Rebel is the last trim available offering off-road capabilities with its 17-inch all-terrain wheels, Bilstein shock absorbers, black fender flares, LED foglights, tow hooks, and keyless entry with an interior that is similar to the Sport model.
