Evolution of the Trailhawk Model


This isn't the first appearance of a Trailhawk vehicle available in the Jeep brand. There was a concept vehicle with the "Trailhawk" name that made its first appearance at the 2012 Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah. This concept vehicle was created to be an SUV with a rugged appearance and that offered a good deal of off-road 4x4 capability.


After this appearance in Utah, the "Trailhawk" name was used for the name of a 2014 Jeep Cherokee model that offered three other models besides the Trailhawk. In 2015 the name was used for a model of the Jeep Renegade. Now, the Trailhawk name is being used for the Jeep Grand Cherokee, and one of six models of that vehicle.

Every 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk comes with Jeep's Quadra-Drive II 4x4 system with rear Electronic Limited Slip Differential (ELSD). The Trailhawk model gets a unique version of the Grand Cherokee's Quadra-Lift air suspension that offers total suspension travel and great articulation. The SUV is equipped with Trailhawk-signature red tow hooks both on the front and rear of the vehicle. For maximum off-roading capability the SUV features eighteen-inch Goodyear Adventure off-road tires with Kevlar reinforcement.


Appearance Features of the Fantastic Vehicle


The 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk comes with 10.8 inches of ground clearance. It comes with a seven-slot Jeep grille that made its first appearance on the 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee 75th Anniversary edition. The Trailhawk comes with Trail Rated badges with red accents. Exterior colors available for the 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk include Diamond Black Crystal, Velvet Red, Granite Crystal, Rhino, Bright White, Billet Silver and Redline Red.



Get inside the SUV and you will find leather performance seats for control and comfort. The seats also come with red accent stitching. All painted interior parts are finished with a gun-metal color. The steering wheel has a Trailhawk badge on it. The vehicle comes with a standard 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen that includes 4x4 capability features such as Selec-Terrain modes and suspension height.
