The Honda Odyssey has just one engine option, a 3.5-liter V-6 which boasts 248 horsepower and 250 pounds-feet of torque. The Odyssey has a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 pounds. 

The Odyssey is front wheel drive only, and it is linked to an automatic transmission. The EPA estimated fuel economy is 22 miles per gallon when combined, or 19 miles per gallon in the city and 28 miles per gallon on the highway.

The Grand Caravan comes standard with the award-winning 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine, which produces an impressive 283 horsepower, and 260 pounds-feet of torque. The Grand Caravan also has a remarkable towing capacity of 3,600 pounds.

When mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, the power of the Grand Caravan is sent to the front wheels. The Pentastar engine offers an efficient ride of 17 miles per gallon on the city, 25 miles per gallon on the highway, for a combined 25 miles per gallon.

The interior has few standard features, which include power front seats, fabric upholstery and 15 cupholders. Available is a rear entertainment system, integrated vacuum cleaner, a collapsible third-row, and flat loading floor with the power front seats engaged and folded flat.

Some of those include a tilt/telescoping steering wheel with audio controls, a 60/40-split folding third row with tailgate-seating mode, dual-zone manual air conditioning, and excellent technology like a Blu-ray backseat entertainment system, a touch-screen navigation system,and both heated seats and steering wheel.

Conclusions

Both vehicles certainly offer great features and ton of functionality, yet there are some marked differences when it comes down to it. The Odyssey has some excellent convenience features, like an integrated vacuum, yet the Dodge Grand Caravan easily has a more impressive powertrain with their award-winning Pentastar engine, and extra standard features.
