The new 2015 Charger got a little smoother and less imposing with its latest redesign, but the SRT treatment returns a little of that aggressiveness. Dodge touched nearly all of the body panels, including a new front bumper and grille that improves cooling airflow, functional hood scoops with heat extractors, a slightly revised side scallop in the body and a new rear end with a deeper bumper skirt and unique spoiler.

The longer body and improved aerodynamics are what help the Charger Hellcat beat the Challenger Hellcat to 60 mph, it is 12 percent aerodynamic, Dodge says. The interior also has the SRT look with a flat-bottom, heated steering wheel, redesigned seats for improved comfort and a customizable gauge cluster. The Charger SRT Hellcat also features premium quality heating, 8.4-inch Unconnect touch screen and a 900 watt, 18-speaker Harmon Kardon audio system.

The amazing output figures that come with the supercharged HEMI V-8 place the Charger SRT Hellcat atop the four-door sedan segment in terms of horsepower and speed, while numerous exterior upgrades gives it proper, menacing looks. The 20-inch wheels are in two finishes, and it is tough not to notice the power-bulge aluminum hood with dual air extractors. Dodge said that the Charger Hellcat will go on sale during the first quarter of 2015 as a 2015 model, and that contrary to rumors that the Challenger, it will not place a cap on production for either this or the Challenger Hellcat.
