![]() Under the 500L's HoodIn North America there will likely be some sort of modification done to the already available 1.4-liter gas engine. The expectation would be to add upon the already available 100 horsepower engine to provide it with efficient power to move the larger 500 L without an ounce of setback. The other option will be that the 500 L could just utilize a relative version of the Abarth's turbocharged inline four-cylinder giving it a bit more acceptable 160-hp. What is certain is that the 500 L will feature two gasoline engines, a 90 cc, two-cylinder, a 1.4-liter and a MultiJet diesel 1.3-liter version as well. To begin the 500 L will come with just front-wheel drive, but the expectation is to adapt the AWD configuration that is ever popular in the European Panda model. |
![]() Design of FIAT 500LLook at it like this, take the FIAT 500 and stretch it out. Stretch it out to exactly 163 inches in length  ( just a tad bit longer that the MINI competitive model). This length allows FIAT to finally put an emphasis on practicality and space, making it an actual 'family vehicle'. Even with it being stretched, it still is one of the smaller vehicles on the market, but one of the more efficient in return. There likely will be multiple variables and color combinations for the exterior and interior designs. |

ConclusionsWith its stylish looks inside and out, its extended four-door design and not compromising fuel-economy, the 500 L should be a popular hit in North America. Practicality has glowingly outweighed luxury and personal preference. Most families will now have a vehicle they can buy and drive, that is practical and can get them to where they need to be without being crushed at the pumps like other minivans, SUVs or even crossover vehicles. |
