Driving the 2013 Chrysler 300

The V-6 in the 300S model has 300 horsepower, eight more than the normal V6. There are two standard engines that come with the 300. One being a V6 which produces 292 horsepower, the other being the larger V8 - which produces 363  horsepower, and is 5.7-liters. Both engines are regular gas engines, come with the standard eight-speed automatic transmission, and come with either rear-wheel or all wheel drive. The 2013 300, like other model years offers a sedan with a lot of power and sharp handling. It shifts between gears smoothly and drops gears without a hiccup. This is a great choice for those who are looking to enjoy a sedan with class and power.

Design of the 2013 Chrysler 300

The 300 has a stylish grille with horizontal slots, and for those who prefer the mesh grille look can have one installed through Chrysler's Mopar services. In the rear, the bumper angles towards the taillights, gracefully blending the two together, where most instances add a ledge to separate the two. Standard are the 17 inch wheels with 18, 19 or 20 inch wheels as an option. On the interior the Light-blue gauges rest just beyond a broad steering wheel, and a standard 8.4-inch display screen contains various touch-screen controls, including an option for a navigational system. The cabin is quiet, and the improved windshield and thinner roof panels allows for better road visibility for the driver. Not only does the new 300 offer better safety precautions, it also offers a variety of components that make the driving experience easier, and offers the passengers above average comfort.

Model Lineup

The 2013 Chrysler 300 comes in the following model trims; 300, Limited, S, C, the new SRT8 and C Luxury Series.

The Limited comes with keylees Enter-N-Go, Sentry Key Theft Deterrent System, Dual Zone Auto Temp Control, automatic headlamps, fog lamps, ParkView Rear Back Up Camera, Luxury Leather Trimmed bucket seats, Power front driver and passenger seats, as well as heated front seats.

The S model comes with reactive head restraints, Beats audio system, premium cloth bucket seats, 8-way power driver seats, 20 inch polished or painted alluminum wheels, and all the same features of the 300 standard model.

The 300C along with the very similar features of the standard 300 model trim also offers rain sensitive windshield wipers, a unique radio, drivers seat, steering column and mirror adjustment memory, automatic high beam headlamp control, SiriusXM Travel Link, driver/passenger 4-way Lumbar Adjust, heated/vented front seats, and heated back seats. Also with the 300C is a larger V8 HEMI engine with 5 speed automatic transmission, and is an AutoStick automatic transmission.

The Chrysler 300 SRT8 model has a 6.4-liter V-8 that puts out 470 hp and 470 pounds-feet of torque. The cabin features carbon fiber trim and heated and ventilated front seats with the SRT logo embroidered on the backrest. The Premium Interior Package adds leather accents to the upper door trim and instrument panel.

Conclusions

The 2013 Chrysler 300 offers much of the fancy features that Chrysler fans have grown to appreciate over the recent years, but with a new SRT8 model, a standard eight-speed automatic transmission, leather upholstery and heated front seats now a standard feature, the 300 has improved to a level that most thought was impossible. It is a classy sedan, with two engine options both capable of giving the driver a powerful ride with a bit of thrill. On the interior the 300 has a large array of features that offer a lot of automatic control, comforts and entertainment. Overall the 300 is a great sedan for anyone who is looking to balance class and power.
