About Bristol Pennsylvania

Located a short 15-minute drive from Reedman-Toll Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram of Longhorne is the borough, Bristol. The borough resides in Bucks County, Pennsylvania along the Delaware River. First settled in 1681, Bristol actually pre-dates the city of Philadelphia. The borough gets its name from Bristol, England. Due to Bristol's location along the Delaware River, the borough was a hub of activity. A ferry ran back and forth between Bristol and Burlington, New Jersey on the opposite side of the river and the ports so docks were always busy. Today the shipyard and other buildings related to the town's history are a part of the Bristol Historic District and the Bristol Industrial Historic District.
